The Pontifical Mission Societies are the societies of the Pope which support the Papacy in its missionary commitment to the whole Catholic Church. Through the different societies, the church celebrates in unity its purpose on earth. The Pontifical Mission Union is the actualization of these efforts.

This year, 2025, the PMU celebration will be held under the theme: Priests, brothers and sisters are missionaries of hope!
