As the Church takes to heart the pastoral care of the youth, Fatima parish celebrated mass with young boys and girls, from Fatima boys and girls primary schools, respectively, leading them in the way of the Lord. According to Fr Bernard Limani, the parish is aware of the focus and efforts the Universal Church is putting into youth development, recognizing them as the heart of the church. It was therefore imperative that the parish arrange gatherings of this kind to nurture the pupils’ spiritual growth and strengthen their faith through communal worship and education. The mass held on 20th February 2026, is part of the routine program for the parish as part of the pastoral care given to young people.

Young Christian Workers from St. Matthew’s parish marked the beginning of their Lenten journey by taking their time to cheer the sick at Montfort Hospital. As an act showing obedience to Christ, who said, “whatsoever you do to the least of my brothers, that you do to me”: these youth endeavoured to start their spiritual journey this Lent with this act of kindness. Fr Emmanuel Malikebu, who is chaplain for the grouping, recalls that, usually, every year these youths engage in charity work in this season as one way of preparing themselves for Easter. He was very thankful to YCW members for always taking the lead in such exercises. The charity work was done on Saturday 21st February 2026. Lent is a season when Christians enjoin their lives to the suffering Jesus.
