We all have a role to play in the salvific plan of God

We are now drawing closer to the central event of our Christianity. With the celebration of Passion Sunday, we now begin the Holy week that leads to suffering death and resurrection of our Lord.

As we draw closer, it is important to reflect on our own role that we play in God’s plan of salvation.

Maybe the personality and roles of different people could be important here. We take Judas for example, this person, a disciple of Christ, out of all the roles he could play ended up being the traitor. Simon of Cyrene unconcerned as he was with what was happening and minding his own business ended up being the helper to Jesus who struggled as he carried his cross.

Today’s passion narrative laid bare the fact that we have a part to play in the salvific plan of God.

The Holy Week must help us focus our minds on the salvation brought by Jesus and maybe ask “What role do I play in this plan of salvation?”

Have a blessed Holy Week ahead.
